That old dude be Cartola who Curren$y looks to channel for the cover of his new DJ Drama assisted mixtape, Verde Terrace.
I’m usually a big fan of Spitta’s covers but this time round I’m not too sure. There’s one thing using a classic cover like Cartola’s Verde Que Te Quero Rosa, you know, its a nice reference, a cultural one, it beats another ignorant mixtape cover. But here’s the issue; what’s with the garish fonts and colours? Like I said the original was a classic, don’t damage that. Especially so cheaply.
For once I’m disappointed. I’m gonna keep my head up though, Curren$y always lets the tracks talk.
Those tracks are gonna be talking August 23. #JETLIFE
